What if after a trainride from Brussels straight to Breda you step outside of the station and all of a sudden you see a big crowd with music and banners… an exciting day full of surprises that was Marnick’s experience at the end of June.

I see this wolfpack explanation of leadership in my Linkedin feed everyday and even though it's an internet hoax, it still represents an easy way to explain the way a lot of companies are currently being run and why they are bleeding talent.

"Alrighty then... HR team what's the status on implementing the new corporate culture?" - Well, desktop wallpapers with our new non-unique values are fixed on people's computers, we have our mission printed on the reception desk, handed out a code of conduct with a great Shutterstock image of people from different nationalities on the cover and....we ordered pizza's. - "Ok team, I think we are pretty much done here..."

2017 is right around the corner and with it come plans, aspirations and false promises to ourselves about six pack abs, smoke free lungs and a better work life balance :) I love stepping into a new year. It gives you a push to reflect on the past and make plans for the future. A fresh start every 12 months.
